  • Baptism; sacrament, ordiance, or whatever

What is The Berean Life? I'll explain that in our next blog, but first a discussion about baptism...

John 3:5 Jesus answered: I tell you for certain that before you can get into God's kingdom, you must be born not only by water, but by the Spirit.

Acts 2:38 Peter said, "Turn back to God! Be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, so that your sins will be forgiven. Then you will be given the Holy Spirit.

Acts 22:16 And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.'

1Peter 3:21 Those flood waters were like baptism that now saves you. But baptism is more than just washing your body. It means turning to God with a clear conscience, because Jesus Christ was raised from death.

So, in lew of of these verse? Is Baptism just following an example given to us by Christ when baptized in the Jordan River, is it something necessary to be done in order to obtain salvation, or really not that big of a deal, come on the thief didn't get baptized and Christ told him that he would see him in Paradise.
