  • Weekly Praise

    Hey Everyone,

This post is in response to my prior post "Planning Weekly Praise". The idea is to post as many things that happened in the past week that I can think of to praise God about, once a week. I've currently chosen Saturday (my Sabbath) as my day for this, although it may be Friday evenings on occasion, if I don't plan on being on Saturday.

It's been a really busy week, so I'll try to come up with as many as I can.  Here it goes:

    • There have been a lot of times this past week that I've been really depressed and feeling lonely, and I thank God that He has helped me through them.
    • It snowed a few days ago for the first time this year, and it looks so absolutely beautiful. Very inspiring, especially with the wonderful scenery the new home He has blessed us with provides.
    • He helped to work out some problems we were having with our lawyer in a much better way than we had every expected, and kept me calm during the heat of the moment that the arguments were going on. Had it not been for God, I would have been upset and probably hurting other people's feelings by saying things I shouldn't.
    • He inspired me to go back to counseling recently, and it's been a blessing ever since! Between God and my doctor, there's been a lot of improvement with some of the things I've been struggling with. I know God is leading me down the path of healing.
    • He brought an old friend back into my life this week, and it was wonderful to get together with her again.
    • He gave me the courage to express my faith and His Truths in a situation I've never been able to before! Normally I get scared and don't share my side of things, but when faced with having to, He gave me the words to speak as I have never been able to express reasoning behind of my beliefs so easily before, especially in the situation I was in! Normally I'd be too scared of causing anger or conflict. This was a huge step, and I am so grateful for His helping me through it.
    • He answered prayers that a friend of mine's grandma would get well enough to come home again, after a stroke.
    • And of course, the obvious but hardly less important blessings of food, shelter, strength, patience, mercy, grace, and forgiveness. Not to mention life.

That's all I can think of this week. I'm going to try and notice more the week ahead, so I can list even more little blessings.

Praise God for everything He does! We are so not worthy of any of these blessings.

    Blessings and Love,
    Sarah
