Gossip and the Splinter in My Brother's Eye
Gossip is so common and is so easily done that those who do it -- myself of course included -- don't understand the evil that is committed towards others, until of course they are the victims.
We are all powerless before back stabbing, gossip and talk that can ruin us. Evil said spreads easily; it can't be stopped. It is too entertaining for the ears to hear and gives the drug of being self-righteous.
All my life I have struggled with my tendency to let loose about someone. At times I am able to stop, but at other times to my shame I fail.
It is funny how easily I can look around the log in my own eye and see the tiny splinter in the eye of another.
When have you gotten into trouble by spreading gossip? When have you been the subject of gossip, and how did your perspective on gossip change after you were the topic of conversation? What does scripture tell us about gossip?

Of course, he can't stop. It is his trade. He has a spot on a radio station that I listen too on my way to work. Sometimes, I tune to another station when he comes on, but sometimes I listen.
Apparently, listeners love the guy. Apparently, some stars loath him.
What is a bad boy to do?
@eshunt - He fills a need, is it healthy, is he mentally healthy, I have no idea, but what he is doing is just bubble gum entertainment, which has a vast audience. I don't understand the focus people place on the lives of the rich and famous, but I guess are called Idols for a reason LOL. I think in the future, when someone writes about him, hisworld will most likely be a mess...both inner and outer. I hope I am wrong about that.
