  • Sunday Service at North Point Online: How to Be Rich (Part Four)

    It's Sunday morning again, and for millions of Christians around the globe, today is a day to gather together as a community, sing songs to God and receive strong, thoughtful teaching.  It's our hope for you that you will have the opportunity to attend your local church today and experience all of these things!

    But if you can't make it to church today, we've got your back!  We feature the online services of North Point Community Church every Sunday, so that you can enjoy the experience from your home, office or wherever else you might be today.

    Who doesn't want to get rich?  Isn't that the American dream -- to have enough money and stuff to be comfortable?  That might be true, but getting rich doesn't mean you will be rich.  What does it mean to be rich?  It means to be generous: to do more and to give more.  While that may sound backwards at first, Andy Stanley will explain how you can be rich this holiday season through simple action steps that allow you to be generous with what you have, even if it's only a few minutes and a few bucks.

    For the second time in history, man must discover "fire" but this time within
    his soul...

    Pierre Teilhard de Chardin predicted, “Un jour après avoir maitrisé les vents, les vagues, les marées et la pesanteur, nous devrions exploiter les énergies de l’amour; et pour la seconde fois dans l’histoire du monde, l’homme découvrira le feu.”

    translates:

    “Someday, after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God
    the energies of love, and then, for a second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire.”

    If you don't know DeChardin, I think you can catch up on his contribution by reading of his statements (quotes). There are many online sources.

    Here is one of the most important:

    and accept the anxiety of feeling yourself
    in suspense and incomplete.”

    Discover nurture and nature as energies of love and then rise to the
    challenges of our future. In this regeneration, a 10th gate of consciousness
    opens in the heart, brings serenity, maximizes subconscious brain potential and
    opens channels of eventually a total communication with the Infinite. Driven by
    pressures, this may occur with great confused energy and perhaps this process
    may even bring on psychosis. So, as Tielhard suggests, take your time; just be
    sure to do your time.

    Becoming reborn in the Spirit, the body and the soul are penetrated by the
    heat of divine love and by the light of divine intelligence. This process
    emanates from a divine "fire" within. You shall know the difference as
    this process occurs.
