A Moment at the Start of a New Day
Each day is a new beginning. A day is like a moment in eternity and in each moment we can begin anew, move forward and to not allow the past to drag us down. We can learn from our past, seek to do better in the present and learn patience with ourselves and an ever growing trust in God’s love for us.
God’s love is like the Sun that gives its light to all. We have the freedom to respond to this light or not. Our existence is a great gift; we have it only once, though it is filled with mystery and many “whys” that will not be answered. We are pushed, goaded to find deeper meaning, no rest, but as we age, if we seek truth and love, then something happens within, a peace comes in the midst of suffering, anguish and pain.
The beauty of what is around us is also noticed and others become shinning lights because we begin to see their beauty, courage and determination to move forward. We learn not to judge the heart of anyone, learning from our own wounds and struggles and many failures and our starting anew. The just man falls seven times a day -- I fall more times than that.Gift
God love is a gift,
a grace,
just as our love is a gift
we bestow on one another,
our love flows from the font of life,
our love finite, limited,
God’s love is infinite unlimited,
deeper in and higher up,
is Christ Jesus will and desire
for us.

Of all the posts I've read here, this was the most difficult and introspective for me. Because of my daily difficulties, and attitudes I have to work on constantly. It doesn't get easier. Prayer always brings a ton of tears, and that somehow lightens the load for the short haul, but the long haul is still there, looming, like a ghost like figure in the shadows. I need to learn to "unjudge" my fellow humans. When my children were young, and I was alone with them, and they'd get horribly sick, sometimes the doctor's office wouldn't schedule us for days, and my genetic boxing ring aggression would take over and I'd get them in the office that day. Sometimes I've found I do what I have to do for children and grandchildren in order to get them proper care, and I'm not proud of this behavior, but find that over the years, even just being an assertive woman doesn't work. Especially where the care of the car is concerned. So does this behavior bring glory to God? Do I change my behavior and allow the defenseless to suffer? Am I a worse Christian for being this way, or, am I doing what's necessary to survive? I've had women tell me they could never take care of problems like I do. Well, it's only certain problems, that concern the defenseless, or, my entire savings account. I'd like some answers on this one, because I really don't like becoming angry, yet watching men get different results when dealing with their own gender.
Anger is a tool, it can give us energy to accomplish difficult task, allowing us to speak up. Taking care of your family is a good example of using anger to get what needs to be done. It is when anger grows towards revenge that we can get into trouble. I, like you, struggle with anger and still have strong inner images, that I believe get energy from my deep past. So I have learned not to fear my anger, or rage would be a better word for it.... and pray it, give that energy to Jesus for healing as well as pray for all those who have the same struggle.
Jesus knows your struggles my friend and I have no doubt loves your effort to live out of your Christ filled heart. He sees us totally, nothing hidden, he sees deeper than anyone of us can, yet he loves you, me, everyone, with an infinite love.
Again, your transparency and child like attitude are a good teacher for me, so thank you for sharing.
