  • Are We Really Loving Our Brethren?

This week has been a week of weeping for me; so much has been going on and my heart is just shattered.  My brethren, here and all across the world are in such trial and so many of them are crying out to God for help as they feel so unprepared and ill-equipped.

As an example -- in this article, Lao Officials forced Christians to recant in order to bury their deceased family.

Satan has not rested one moment in spreading his wrath over the whole of the world -- uttering deceptions as old as the Garden of Eden itself, to spreading persecutions as severe as a sword -- the whole world lies under his sway; thanks be to God, who through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, has delivered us from the sway of Satan!

But in this I also weep; who was there for our brethren in Laos to strengthen them and encourage them to remain steadfast?  Who was there to help them stand firm?  I hope that my fellow brethren, who are faithful, will join me in praying for these brothers and sisters, that they would be restored in mercy and that they would be given a spirit of boldness and immovability by which they can stand secure.

Even more, I hope that we pray with open and sincere hearts for God to raise up servants, faithfully prepared to do His work, and send them out to these places, willing to die for the sake of their brethren!

These are our brothers and sisters being put to death, being starved, imprisoned, and deceived by deceptions that are silently sweeping over the whole world.

In our time, right before our eyes, the scriptures are being fulfilled in that the brides have fallen asleep and have been found unprepared.

Where is our heart for our brethren?  If we say we love, and wish our brethren well, but go and do nothing, is our love not as unlove?

Even if those unfortunate souls recant, what about those who don't?  Surely God knows their hearts and minds.  Even before we utter a word of prayer, he knows what we are going to say.  So I say we cannot judge on the basis of recanting, much as we could not judge a prisoner of war during times of torture.  We all know things happen during combat and war that are unspeakable, and I find it maddening when some muckety muck decides to make a huge deal out of something during a political campaign, knowing full well that so much uncontrollable stuff happens in war.

There is no Satan......this is a scare tactic used by authority figures.

You: . . . .

Me: My YLT & EMPHATIC DIAGLOTT make NO mention of ANY Satan in their Text, so what nonesense are you talking about laddie?

In the final analysis there is no evidence that the biblical character called "Jesus Christ" ever existed. As Nicholas Carter concludes in The Christ Myth: "No sculptures, no drawings, no markings in stone, nothing written in his own hand; and no letters, no commentaries, indeed no authentic documents written by his Jewish and Gentile contemporaries, Justice of Tiberius, Philo, Josephus, Seneca, Petronius Arbiter, Pliny the Elder, et al., to lend credence to his historicity." Much better luck next times!

@Reverendric - Well if we use their corrupt hypothesis and their own corrupt bible Story book versions that have inserted the term Satan in it, we can legitimately deduce that IF any Satan literally exists, it is definitely their god. e.g. -

"And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah". (2 Samuel 24: 1) KJV story book

Comparing this parallel account of the same incident we read: -

And Satan stood up against Israel,  , , , (1 Chron. 21: 1) KJV story book

Later in story book 1 Chron. 21 we read: -

And God was displeased with this thing; therefore he smote Israel. {And...: Heb. And it was evil in the eyes of the LORD concerning this thing} 8 And David said unto God, I have sinned greatly, because I have done this thing: but now, I beseech thee, do away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.  (1 Chron. 21: 7 - 8) KJV story book

So the ADVERSARY = Satan (i.e. Satan is a Hebrew Word - Metaphor) that was against Israel / smote Israel - was definitely not a naughty spirit angel supernatural being (which don't literally exist in or out of the story book pages) but was story book god itself!
