Hey Revelife readers! You know, we here at Revelife try extremely hard to bring you the best quality content we can find, but it is certainly not an easy task. The key to our success really lies in our incredibly talented team of interns, who dedicate their valuable time and resources to write, edit, and schedule all of the posts you see every day on Revelife.
The Revelife editorial interns consistently produce professional content and put into practice journalistic editing guidelines. The Revelife internship program offers its members the opportunity to create a vast portfolio of published works, and -- what's even better -- you can be an intern, too!
That's right, we're looking for new interns for the Fall 2011 season! To be considered for the Revelife editorial internship program, you must meet the following criteria:
- Have prior blogging experience
- Have basic photo editing skills (recommended, not required)
- Be able to dedicate a minimum of 15 hr/wk
- Be able to commit to at least 3 months
- Be self-reliant and able to set and keep ones own schedule
You need not live in any particular area of the country, nor must you work during specific business hours. An internship with Revelife is easy to work around other commitments, such as school, work and church. Internships can also be eligible for school credit at some institutions!
While our internships are, in fact, unpaid, interns are rewarded with experience, education, mentorship and a portfolio of published works. Recommendations and references are also available dependent upon work performance.
So enough technical mumbo jumbo! If you love to blog and want to take it to the professional level, this is your chance!
Send us a message with your email address, links to writing samples and a resume, and we'll get back to you soon!

My one real question to this is "Does this mean presenting the TRUTH of God --- or merely editting the whims and fancies of men who like to have their ears tickled and their egos stroked"? It's an honest question that really should have weeded out a good 50% of what Revelife has presented in the past... but hasn't.
If ReveLife is about Christians seeking to know and understand Truth (as God has given it) --- why does it always seem to come back down to mere opinions, whims, & fancies and not the Word of God being presented?
@JulieMillerFan@xanga - I guess revelife has gotten a lot of criticism for that. My question is the same for you, what are you doing to change that?
@JulieMillerFan@xanga - Revelife exists solely on the contributions of the people who read it. The content we present is the best of what we receive. We would love to be able to feature a wider variety of content, but in the end, we can only work with what we are given. We suggest that, if there is something you want to see on Revelife, you write it for us and submit it to us. That's ultimately the only way we will be able to truly represent the entire community.
@revelife - Ay, there's the humor --- cause I have personally recommended HUNDREDS of posts (and not all of them my own) and thus far..... you've taken one of them. Kinda makes you wonder who's actually running the show here.
As for the rest of your comment, we're not talking about overall submissions of posts --- where actually leaning more towards referring to SUBMISSION TO GOD AND HIS TRUTH... I would think that THAT ---- above all else --- would factor in most importantly when considering what should or shouldn't be re-posted to front page.
@llamalima@xanga - Click over to my Xanga site --- look for "Tags" and click on the one labeled "Theology" --- it is the one topic I write most about, so you can't miss it. Average of about 14 posts a month for the last 6 years.... you've a wealth of things to choose from it would seem.
@JulieMillerFan@xanga - Submit 'em!
@llamalima@xanga - You can only submit a post ONCE after which the "submit your post" page will state "This post has already been recommended" and will not allow it to be re-submitted. I know this from personal experience as there have been many wonderful posts done by NYclegodesi24 at Xanga which have been worthwhile, as well as some of my own (All five posts of my "top5mostabusedscriptures" --- each one linked for convenience --- from last year are a great example) which have largely gone ignored by Revelife.
There's no bitterness in my words and thoughts --- my concern regarding Revelife was stated in my very first comment here --- What standard are we holding to? Are we here to present the TRUTH of God --- or, as all to often the case has been, are we merely going to present the whims and fancies of men.
If becoming an Intern means that someone higher up than me decides that a post about Christian Homosexuals should be front-page worthy and I'm the one picked to "edit" the piece --- do I do so as I have been told, or am I given the freedom to say "This stands AGAINST Biblical teaching, it is therefore falsehood and lies, and I will therefore NOT be editing this unless it is to point out the very TRUTH of God as has been revealed."
Apparently, from the quality of posts presented in the past --- an Intern means simply presenting poor quality material that questions Biblical authority and simply feeds the masses with the things that they want to be tickled by. To me... that sounds like Satan's game-plan, not God's... and thus we're back to my whole first comment again... Is ReveLife about searching out God's TRUTH --- or is it merely about giving men the chance to vent AT God about how unjust His Holiness (and thus His Holy Standard...) is. Only the higher ups can really answer these matters... and someday... they will have to, as God will call them to account for what they presented "In My Name". (I'm currently writing a series called "Judgment Comes" which deals with just this subject...)
@JulieMillerFan@xanga - The problem is that not all Christians agree as to what constitutes the truth of God. I, for instance, am entirely persuaded that part of accepting the gospel and witnessing to the world is a commitment to total nonviolence. Not all Christians are so convinced. I can make a case (a very persuasive one, I believe) from the scriptures, as can those who disagree with me. Rather than writing off those who agree with me as being "against Biblical teaching," Revelife gives us a forum to discuss our different understandings and attempt to persuade one another.
@SirNickDon@xanga - Sir Nick --- a simple, straightfoward reading of Ephesians 6 should put the whole matter of our fight into proper perspective.... for we wrestle NOT with flesh and blood. Seems pretty simple from just that one verse. Pretty hard to carry out the great commission if I've put a bullet into the head of someone who needs the love of Christ.
BUT.....
I have a wife and a daughter. If someone were to come after either of them to do bodily harm or to protract sexual immorality upon them you'd better believe I am going to protect them with every ounce of my strength.... up to and including doing physical harm to that offender if it means keeping my family safe. I strongly feel that this honors God. Would God likewise not have me seek to protect my "Neighbor" if his own life were at risk?
What do you think God has to say to the "Christians" in Germany when Hitler came to power, who turned a blind eye to the slaughtering of so many thousands of innocent lives? Do you think God was honored by their lip-synced Sunday morning "worship" ---- or was God honored by someone like Dietrich Bonhoeffer who spoke out against the bloody regime, at the cost of his own life? Even somewhat got involved in an attempt to BOMB Hitler in order to save the lives of who knows how many countless millions. Was God honored by the pacifists in this instance, who never got involved or by those who took it upon themselves to try to stop the murdering of so many forgotten ones?
In World War One there was a Christian, Sergeant York by name. He was a crack shot who firmly believed that his God would never call him to kill another man. When he saw the germans gunning down his allied brothers MERCILESSLY (and laughing about it to boot) --- he took action. He managed to take out an entire platoon of German soldiers singlehandedly and did so by actually killing a few men to do it. His story is one of the most amazing ones to come out of WW1 --- track down the movie, they did a great job of honestly portraying his faith in Christ.
End-sum ---- there may be two sides to a coin, as you say --- but there is a standard of what IS AND ISN'T right and wrong --- and when we start questioning "Did God actually say...." as so many Revelife posts have in recent days --- then we're not standing FOR GOD.... no matter how loudly our lips may call "Lord, Lord...." There is a reason Jude says we are to "earnestly contend" (put on your boxing gloves and fight!!!!) for the "once-for-all delivered to the saints faith. Cause when we allow cultural relativism to call the shots.... God is not honored by our seeming lip-service to his cause. We do more damage than good by allowing such garbage to be re-posted. Amen?
