  • Grains of Sand Magnified to 250x

    More photos here...

I just find it fascinating that every single piece of sand to the human eye looks so simple and same. But zoom in with a, I imagine, very expensive macro lens--and you see all this variety, and different colors. Something that is so mundane, under a microscope we see what it truly is. A kaleidoscope of colors and shapes, I never would have expected it! It's like we have been flying in a plane our whole lives looking down on humans, and finally realizing that we truly are more than ants walking on the surface of the earth.

"And God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear.” And it was so."God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good." Genesis 1:9-10 (English Standard Version)

Do you think if God can observe such beauty in such small things that He is capable of observing us in our comings and goings? Do you think we are carefully and wonderfully crafted by God's hands, if small things like these are carefully and wonderfully crafted?

    • About Me: Who am I? I am 19 year old university student, prone to stressing over about some assignment due the next day. I sometimes have time to blog mostly about Christian thoughts. In my spare time, I am also a musical connoisseur, ninja, movie junkie, and full-time hypochondriac. I may have lied about one of those, or a few.
