She looks like the girl from Superchick auditioning for Evanescence.
Also, Bring a Torch, Jennette, Isabella.
Oh Holy Night :)
Last Christmas. I like the Jimmy Eat World version. I know it has nothing to do with Jesus but it's so catchy. A close second is Do You Hear What I Hear. Plain White T's do a good rendition of it.
Mmmm...I love Third Day's "Born in Bethlehem." Original and lovely.
Hands down - O Come, o come Emmanuel.
Feliz Navidad by veggietales because it makes me laugh =P
so many favorites but what child is this is definitely the most beautiful
Definitely '(Ho Ho Hey) A Way For Santa's Sleigh' by Emery.
I love "Get Behind Me, Santa" by Sufjan Stevens. So catchy and happy! But when it comes to songs about Jesus, I go with "Do You Hear What I Hear?" because my parents used to sing a beautiful rendition if it together at Christmas Eve service while I was a kid, and it's one of my fondest Christmas memories, seeing the two of them sing together.
O Holy Night
Right now it's "Silver Bells" version done by Stevie Wonder.
Oh Holy Night...
Is been sung across choirs, solo artists, and acoustic rock, and each version still remains powerful. I like the chorus, because at that point the singer have the most oomph in their voice and the chorus speaks directly to the listeners to give glory to God and come humbly before him.
I think Building 429 did an amazing rendition of "We Three Kings".
"All I Want for Christmas" sung by that lil' girl on Love Actually
Casting Crowns' version of "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" is this year's favorite--I love it when a new arrangement of an old song makes me like that song again. My all-time favorite is Amy Grant's "Breath of Heaven".
My favorite Christmas song has always been O Holy Night!
"last christmas." :]
closely tied with sara groves' "toy packaging." hahahha. When Chasing Furies did a version of O Come Emmanuel ...it was beautiful :) I only wish chasing furies were still around because they were a really good band.
@tillseptemberends@xanga - Chasing Furies was a brilliant band, and O Come Emmanuel has always been one of my favorite songs.
@SirNickDon@xanga - It's sad that they only made one album :( They were so amazing ! Sarah Macintosh who was the lead singer just came out with a solo album about a year ago.. I have only heard a couple songs from the album but from what I have heard it's pretty amazing :) Her album is called (If you haven't heard about it ) The Waiters,The Watchers,The Listeners,The Keepers & Me
o holy night by nsync
My top 3 are:
"Hallelujah (Light Has Come)" by BarlowGirl
"O Holy Night" by Point Of Grace
"I Celebrate The Day" by Relient K
I just recently heard Casting Crowns version of "I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day" and it's starting to work its way up on my list! Love their version of that old classic!
Classical carol-wise, my favorite is Carol of the Bells... or O Come O Come Emmanuel :) Contemporary-wise, I really like Jars of Clay's take on "Love Came Down On Christmas".
"Takin' Care of Christmas" by Randy Bachman
"Blue Christmas by Elvis
"Unto You This Night" by Garth Brooks
@TheGreatBout@xanga - I know... they did such a good cover of it... it's so good...
