  • Revelife Is Thankful For...

Today is Thanksgiving.  It's been a rough year for a lot of people; lost jobs, lost money, and lost lives have affected a lot of us this year.  During this time of year, when we consider the things we are thankful for, it can be hard to remember the good things that have happened.  We here at Revelife are thankful for a lot of things.  We hope you are uplifted by our Thanksgiving wishes.

Revelife is thankful for... featured writers.

You may not know the featured writers personally, but they have been chosen for very specific reasons.  Our featured writers are good writers, whose content we feel is relevant to our readers and something you can learn and grow from.  Some of the featured writers are pastors, who have spent years studying the faith, and have a great deal of wisdom to impart on us.  Some are experienced in church work, who are uniquely positioned as those who see the modern church growing and changing.  Some are immersed in modern society and Christian culture, and have great insight on the current events of the day.

Though the featured writers are all different, they are able to contribute interesting ideas and thoughtful content that we feel you will learn from through reading and discussing.  While not all the featured writers have the ability to come to the site regularly and comment on their posts, we hope that you will still grow and learn through the discussion on these posts.  The featured writers give us their content freely, and we are thankful for their openness to share their knowledge with our community.

Revelife is thankful for... submitted posts.

The other half of Revelife is made up of posts submitted by our readers.  We know we've said it before, but we'll say it again: Revelife could not function without you.  Grabbing content from other peoples' blogs and rebroadcasting it on our site gives us something to read, but it's the posts that are submitted by our readers that give the community a sense of involvement in what Revelife is doing.  Our readers are so varied in opinion and knowledge, and we are so thankful to those of you who submit content regularly.

While we can't publish every post submitted, we hope you'll continue to submit content in the future.  We enjoy reading your stories, thoughts, and prayers.  Your submitted posts remind us that, more than anything, Revelife is a community, and a vast one at that.  Thank you, very much, for being involved in our little corner of the internet.

Revelife is thankful for... God's grace.

Somehow, we've managed to make it through another year.  People have come and gone behind the scenes at Revelife, but, through the grace of God, we've managed to stay afloat.  Transition has not been easy for us, but God has been good to us and blessed us with great writers, passionate readers, and dedicated editors.  Revelife isn't always the easiest site to manage, especially when so many people, opinions, and ideas are involved.  Every struggle we've had, God has helped us through.  We know the struggles are not over, and that there will be other mountains to climb, but we are thankful that His grace is sufficient, gives us strength, and gives us hope that He has a plan and a purpose for our community.

We hope that, as the next year unfolds, you will pray for Revelife.  It's sometimes a daunting task, to put up five posts a day, and we know that we don't always get it right.  Please pray for us, that God will continue to guide the community and bless it.  Please pray that we will reach the seeker and be a blessing to the Christian community.  We are praying for you, too.

Revelife is thankful for you!  What are you thankful for?

Somehow I knew God's grace would be listed last.

I am thankful for the broken down car I was recently given. Mostly thankful that I didn't kill anyone with it before I realized the brakes need some serious looking at. I am also thankful that I live in a wonderful city where I don't rely on a car.

When Conan the Barbarian was asked what was best in life, he responded, "The kill your enemies, drive them before you and to hear the lamentation of the women."

I love killing the ideas of God haters and heretics, driving them before me and hearing them lament like crying babies who've just pooped their pants.

I'm thankful to God for His gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.

I'm thankful for Revelife b/c God has brought me some good Christian friends through this site.

Please pray that we will reach the seeker and be a blessing to the Christian community.

Amen. Have been and will continue to pray.

We are praying for you, too.

    Thanks much!
