From an Atheist: What Makes You Believe in God?
I'm an atheist. I have been for years. I refuse to believe in creationism. Tell me what makes you believe in God? Stories are welcome :)

@cornerstonechwk - Hi, yes I did. pretty amazing watching Dawkins say that. Praying for S4LT.
Lord bless you
Preach the word- II Tim 4:2
I accept the integrity of the men who were eyewitnesses to Jesus' resurrection and subsequent ascension into Heaven. Because of that, I believe what they wrote down. Everyone has to accept the teaching of someone else in his or her life. You are not an atheist by accident. You studied both sides of the issue and came to your conclusion. I'm curious as to why you do not believe in God.
Do you lack "Good friends". Have you been trapped in such situation when you think there is no way out. Do you feel "empty or lonely".
If yes, then this situation will automatically make you to choose the spiritual path and say "Lord Please Help me".
You cannot be every time with the person you love. But ya when you believe in Lord you will feel there is some one"that is SUPREME POWER" who is with you every time.
I believe in lord because this help me to get disciplined life, inner happiness and ability to believe in myself more and more.
Everyone had own story in believing lord. I feel that devil, pains, sufferings, emptiness are all around us and to get "safe shelter" we must pray and believe in lord.
Just to be clear, you wanted a list of why we believe (personally) in God correct?
For me, to stand in the circle of quietly swaying pines and smell freshly watered plants, the amazingly awesomeness of sunsets, standing at a window counting the seconds before the thunder comes, just reminds me that God is bigger then any sort of religious mantra or box that we try and shove Him in....I can't explain it much more then that, I mean, I have struggled against God, but when I let Him out of religiousity's little box I found He was bigger and stronger and way better then we were letting Him be. And personally I think that it's better when He's in charge instead of me...:)
