The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace,

nope, not everyone I know is in the same faith as myself.
Sometimes, depends on the subject matter and the audience.
yes ,i don't like these email.
Always, but it is not an in your face type of signature. See how many can figure it out: "Tiber Swim Club, Class of 2004". Just a clause which succinctly identifies my spirituality.
I close with Shalom
The signature on my e-mail (at the bottom) with the bible verse Joshua 24:15
It's also the signature on some forums I'm apart of.
HELP!!!!!!!!!
This has nothing to do with this post but I need help. I joined this blogring and I had to make a new cite to do so (why cant I use the one I have?) now I cant sign into that cite! How do you guys get on here to put up posts?
i have a modified scripture at the close of all my emails: "Live in love, as Christ loves us." i have the same thing on all my checks, right about my signature.
No, why add more crap to an email? Keep it simple stupid is my motto.
i feel like the e-mail content should itself reflect Christ/ our character, not just the ending part.. but usually i would end my e-mail with things like God bless, Because He lives. and such.. even for non-christians we can be creative and end something like peace and hope, peace and love.. just like the fruits of the Spirit :)
Laughing at the "dumbledore"....I don't know why, but that hit me as really funny!!
And no, I don't have a Christian sounding thing on my e-mail...just my name
I have a jpeg embedded into the email, which shows the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus in video format. It has some of my favorite bible quotes, a few maps of the Holy Land, and the path to salvation as expressed in the book of Romans. That way, anyone I email will know exactly how to give their life to Jesus.
Most likely no because it has nothing to do with what I am emailing.
Sometimes.
@Theophilus166@xanga - You're joking.
Oh dear. I hate the Christianese stuff. No way would I end it with a verse unless it has anything to do with the email. And I rarely say God Bless because I think it's insincere.
I used to, when I was a newer Christian. Nowadays, I occasionally sign off with God Bless if I'm emailing a Christian friend I've known for awhile.
I usually sigh the end with grace and peace then my name...
Grace and peace!
~Michael
No, but I do on my posts.
i don't, unless it's a church-related email. i also have my "verse of the moment" as my signature in my personal email (but not my work account)
Only if it's a fellow Christian. Otherwise, it might be taken as offensive, and being as I tend to lead others to the Lord through the relationships I have with them, not direct preaching, I don't want to do that.
no.
@MC_Shann@xanga - I'm not surprised at that. I also sometimes use some variation of grace & peace or Num 6:24-26 along with a
. It depends on the recipient. If the person is a believer I might add a particular verse reference related to that paricular person/time. I won't usually put a Christian closing on an e-mail to an unbeliever.
For quite a while now I've had a John Piper quote along w/ my name as the signature line for my e-mails:
"Whenever it looks like he is buried for good, Jesus is doing something awesome in the dark."
"Sometimes I do." ~ Bobby Lee
Usually I include some Christian remark before the end but I put it in Anglo-Saxon or Latin so that it's not blatant or offensive. Currently it's "Crist þe asperie" which is "May Christ guard you" in Anglo-Saxon.
