QOTD: Where Do You Like to Sit in Church?
Are you one of those parishioners with your favorite pew who gives the stinkeye to those newcomers who unknowingly camp out there? Or do you just chill out in a random spot every week? Maybe you sit in the back with the cool kids.
When I was in high school, I sat in the front right section that the youth group had pretty much claimed for every service. Interestingly, today I still gravitate towards the front right pews in my much smaller church.
Where's your favorite spot?

Alone.
lol, my family likes sitting in the very back.
Well, I like being in the front or middle-ish areas, but usually when I go with friends we sit towards the back. I have this one friend who ALWAYS sits in the same spot on the same pew every week.
I always sit generally near the front... even if i'm late... I think the second or third row from the pulpit is where I like to sit... usually just because I can pay attention better there.
I usually go to the second row in the front left part of the church where the music ministry people usually sit.
@Jeff91199@xanga - lol will do hahah
I sit with my parents we are Luthren and i have to agree we always sit in the same place same side on the right side of the old part. (Our church was added on to awhile ago so we adapted to saying the old part nd the new part) 4the bench from the back on the right side and my older brother and his 11 kids sit on the other side of the bench but i am getting confermed next month so i will be sitting where i chose..
i love the back with my favorite girl to sit next too haha but cmon whose gonna lie about this you have to tell the truth !! revelife!!! babyy!!
I love sitting in the center rows, on the left side. I don't like sitting in the back because I can't hear myself sing since the choir is right about me, and I don't like the front because everyone looks at you being late.
I also sit in the center rows on the left side (when I attend our church's evening services) For morning services I'm not quite that specific. (I arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of whatever service I attend anyway). There's no particular group of people I always sit with, but I do have a common link with other musicians in my church.
Anywhere, really. But I really to sit in the middle, as I can see better. Everyone seems to gravitate towards the edges and I can see better in between everyone's heads....lol
Left hand pew, five from the back. It's been my seat for years and I can't bare the idea of giving it up. As my church is a big city cathedral there's a different gang in most days. But there are quite a few regulars, and we all have our favourite spots.
it's pretty random. if i actually get there on time, i usually sit on the bottom right somewhere. if i get there late or if it's a week i'm volunteering, i usually go upstairs and sit in the balcony.
I sit in the back row just left of the center aisle. I get to see all the children sitting in front, and if there is a violent situation, as is sadly becoming more common these days, I'm able to either engage or flee easily.
my whole family, extended too, claim the back two pews. Anyone not in my family doesnt sit there. dont know why, its just always been that way. my family is one of the preachers soo.
Being the preacher's wife, I used to sit in the front. But, I can't stand having people behind me, so I moved to the back. I tend to have the town kids with me and I think it is less distracting for everyone else if they are in the back pew.
i have attention problems so i sit on the front row so as not to get distracted.
wherever there's an open spot.
the back...very last pew
Usually somewhere between the 5th and 7th rows. We have four different sections of chairs at church. I'm always in one of the two middle sections of chairs somewhere between the 5th and 7th rows. I ride public transit, so sometimes I'm a few minutes late to church. Days like that, I just sit in the back, wherever there is a spot available.
I like to sit near the front. The closer the better.
Front and center- but in our church the 1st pew and sometimes the second is reserved for guests and Pastor's wife & kids (he has 7kids- they Need a whole pew lol)
We sit in the 3rd pew from the front. I get distracted by everything in front of me so if I'm really going to be able to follow what is being said- I need to be in the front.
My family sits in roughly the same spot every week. Front left. :)
Outside.
When I went to church I sat in the very back row with my grandma and my great aunt. We always sat in that spot. In fact, in my church, everyone always sat in the same place. There were a few people who'd change spots every Sunday because they wanted to sit and be with other people, but for the most part we all stayed in the same placements as usual.
