by revelife crew It's Friday again, and that means it's time for ROMOT (Revelife Outreach Meet Others Thing)! This is where we encourage everyone to meet each other through comments and friending.
The game: we ask a question, and after you comment, drop by the site of the commenter above you and say hi, friend or sub to them! They'll appreciate that you took the time to drop them a line.
A popular question around the blogosphere:
If you could have dinner with any living person in the world, whom would you choose?

Probably Sarah Palin.
I guess President Obama
Jesus. Happy Easter, early!
My coach from high school, actually. I haven't even talked to him in years, and he's just about the coolest person ever.
Jesus, of course. I can't think of anyone more important.
I like that Obama is the poster boy for this. He is quite the celebrity.
Pope Benedict XVI.
Possibly Anthony Bordain. Or if he wasn't available, I'd love to have dinner with my boyfriend. :) I'm easy to please.
Either my fave teacher from J/H school Government teacher from High School, Jesus, or President Obama
Definitely NOT Obama.
Only one?! Hmmm... Either Mark Stuart or Will McGinniss, both formerly of Audio Adrenaline, BY FAR the BEST band on the face of the planet.
@unshunnedchristian@xanga - @BLISSFULOUS@xanga - we considered using Joel Osteen, Benny Hinn, Britney Spears, and Octomom to see what the reaction would be. However, we settled on The Prez.
@revelife - Oh I see, maybe the reactions would have been different if a different pick was up.
The members of the band Jars of Clay so I could ask them some questions as a huge Jars fan. Like:
Who is Michelle Mason and why is an album dedicated to her? What is the song "Disappear" about? What is the song "Truce" about? What spurred them to write "Silence"? What is "Fly" about and what spurred it?
My Dad...
Assuming they didn't want us to say "Jesus" or any of the other Biblical Characters that I would want to meet first..... then I would probably say that a few of the Christian scholars like N.T. Wright, James D.G. Dunn, William Barclay would be awesome to meet or Park Linscomb (My old preacher that I haven't seen in a long time).
A friend of mine...no one else is as important to me!
Hmmm that's so hard, because I have so many I'd love to have dinner with. I'd say Paul and Jane Crouch.
My mom.
hey ROMOT!!! seeing as there are so many Canadians on here.. do you think it would be possible to come up with either a photo or even a question that was Canadian somehow??? You know.. just to help us feel included?
Who would I have dinner with?? Hmmm
Toss up between 4
Vaden & Christine Earle (Absolute Ministries/Hero Holiday.. incredible people)
Star Field (my boys from Saskatchewan Canada.. love' em)
my hubby (on his way home now from the YWAM base in Tijuana Mexico)
and my bio-mom. I'd like to know why she quit talking to me.. it kinda hurts.
I would LOVE to have dinner with Jesus! That would be the best dinner ever!
If I couldn't choose Jesus, I'd love to have dinner with Condoleeza Rice. She has accomplished so much in her life that most people don't even know about because she's an "evil" Republican.
The picture of Obama does make my stomach turn though...we couldn't find someone else?!?
George Lucas
or David Crowder. I think he would be a very entertaining person to have dinner with.
I would have dinner with Paul the apostle. I think he would be an interesting person to discuss life with.
@IamKelleyK@xanga - Win.
I would love to have dinner with either Rush Limbaugh or Sarah Palin. Both are up-by-their-bootstraps type people, who failed over and over, and made their own success stories. No one handed them life on a silver platter, free educations at elite colleges, etc. You all might hate Rush, but how many of you have really listened to him for more than a few minutes? How many can see past his pompous showmanship, his junior high locker room humor, and understand the values of conservatism he promotes? He is an entertainer, first and foremost. So many forget that. Yeah, he could get all serious, it would be like listening to Air America, and he would have failed just about as quickly...and Sarah is unpolished, raw, and shoots from the hip. She's got a Down's syndrome baby, a daughter that is an unwed mother...in other words, a regular, real American. No Botox or implants or tooth caps on that gal...just guts. And a card-carrying member of the NRA, God, what's not to love? Where the heck were the women's libbers blabbing about wanting a woman President when she was on the ticket? You would take Hillary over her? A deceitful greasy lawyer? Someone who "just can't recall, my mind is a bowlful of mush..." you all forget she is married to Slick Willie....two peas in a pod...
kim jong il.
I don't think I would waste such an opportunity to have dinner with my mom, friend, etc. when that could be done any other day. I'd much rather pick at the brain of some dictator for one evening and figure out why he does what he does. Nothing against friends and fam', but they can't explain N. Korea's foreign policy reasons or repeated broken promises of nuclear nonproliferation.
P.S. Do people bother to read? the question was 'dinner with a living person'... maybe Jesus or Paul the Apostle weren't as popular as I thought if they were still alive, cause I haven't seen much, if any, headlines about those two in recent memory.
@Ork58 - Win right back at-'cha. Those would be two people who would be fun to hang out with too. I'd have to add Ann Coulter to the mix. Just to spice it up.
