My son has had to do a project for Cubs. He took a bean seed, and when it had been established, turned the pot over to see what would happen. Jake's little plant snuck out the bottom of the pot and grew towards the light.
Then the roots, turned to go the same way as the stem and also grew towards the bottom of the ramekin. Why?
Because that is where the water had pooled.
Some of you, like me, are going through hard times right now. Some of us feel like we are that little plant whose whole world has been tipped upside down. You don't know where to go next and your direction for life and growth has changed.
I don't know about you, but I want to be like that little plant. I want to grow outwards towards the Son, Jesus. And I want the roots of my soul to grow down drinking thirstily from living waters.
Have you experienced a time in your life where you have felt you have been tipped up side down? How did you get through it?

I was going through a rough financial time, and kept my mind on him, placing the situation in his hands, and before I knew it, it was gone, and I am no longer financially constrained.
Yep, plants'll do that. Science!
Shamelessly plagerizing Jim Morrison and the Doors:
I've been down so long it looks like up to me.
Hmm...interesting plant!
Absolutly. It reminds me of the scripture in James 1 - Count it pure joy my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know the testing of you faith develops perseverence. Perseverence must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
How did/do I cope? Just keep walking. God is faithful and it says that 'many are the trials of the righteous, but the lord will deliver them out of them all'.'
i fel like that all the time. i guess i just decide to pick myself up by my bootstrap and keep moving on. =T
