Well, That’s The Best Excuse I’ve Heard In….Ever
Guest post from TheSecretLifeofKat
A recent conversation with my daughters...
Me: “Go clean your room, girls.”
Daughter: “I can’t Mommy. I want to finish praying for these missionaries first. Ok?”
Me: “Um. Yeah. Well....sure thing.”
What?!
Who are these children and how did I get them?It was missions week at my daughter’s school. They had prayer cards for each of the missionaries and, apparently, my daughter collected one of each and now had them laid out on the floor all around her.
She was on her tummy with her chin in her hands, her mouth moving soundlessly as she looked at each card.
Soon enough her 4 year old sister joined her and after a brief argument about “who gets to pray for Nairobi first” they taped all the cards under the counter and spent the rest of the afternoon looking at the cards and praying for the missionaries.
Really. When I grow up, I want to be like my kids.
Our turn- If you know a missionary, tell everyone about them in the comments so we can all pray for them today.

I hope my kids don't find out about that excuse to not clean their rooms.
I think that's amazing...
awwww..... sweet innocent angels
I don't know if they are still there but in '98 one of my friends families was in the Kenya area. I believe they were in Malawi last I heard.
or maybe you could teach them to get out and start actually doing something for people rather than sitting around praying in the comfort of their own home -- its great they seem to be caring people who are just doing what they were taught to be right though :)
Wow! I think the faith of a child far surpasses any knowledge we learn when we "grow up".
I have friends living in Alaska right now and they're witnessing to Eskimos in a tiny remote village up there. Prayers would be great!
God bless!
Religious con artists at such a young age, already.
Just kidding. ^^ That's cute.
LOL that's so cute. They're going to be awesome when they're grown up.
This is a completely different & refreshing read on xanga =] That's awesome.

Wow. I tried that line. My mom was like, Pray while you clean. He'd bless you. :[ wah.
That's just beautiful.
That's awesome. Your kids are so sweet.
touching
Children are so sweet, innocent and unjaded...they can love uninhibited. They are pure.. we can never be like our sweet little children because we have experienced life.
Huh? That's amazing!
A+ for mom. [:
