Persecution of Christians throughout the world is something that many within the American church ignore. Thanks for brining this to the attention of those who 'forgot' about our brothers and sisters outside the US.
It's not like Christians haven't done the same thing...
Persecution because of one's religious beliefs is a horrible thing, no matter those beliefs. When I here about christians, muslims, hindus, etc, being killed or tortured because of simply a difference of religion it makes me extremely sad. Can't differences exist between between people without all this violence and hate? Or are differences (be it religious, ethnic, nationalistic) bound to lead to seperate groups who have to mistrust and even hate one another?
I've been thinking about the persecution of Christians in China lately. The treatment they're often subjected to is horrific. The hypocrisy that all peoples seem to share appears inescapable at times.

Still does not excuse the behavior of others persecuting Christians or make it any less of a valid concern. I would be more inclined to make the concern for all religious groups and people who are persecuted because of the belief, but it's not too much of a shock a particular community would be most concerned about members of their own community.
@DrugInducedDuck@xanga - So that makes it right..So Christians have got it coming? Did you even watch the video or any REAL news or do you just blurb ?
@whataboutbahb@xanga - In this time & place Christian Persecution is the most ignored.( Religion wise)
@Made2sing4Jesus@xanga - Did I say that makes it right? Nope. Thanks for being a stereotypical offensive Christian.
IT seems this is something that the world wants to ignore.
IT is not politically correct to say anything again other religions but people bash christians and the world doesn't care.
People turn the other way while christians are beaten and killed for their beliefs. To many people do not want to talk about it. They don't want to hear about it.
@DrugInducedDuck@xanga - she was responding to what you sounded like. IT did sound like that is what you were saying.
@Kristenmomof3@xanga - No, I'm just saying that it's stupid and shallow to only focus on christian persecution when every organized religion persecutes other religions.
Yeah, it's sad that we, as a country, tend to ignore persecution
@DrugInducedDuck@xanga - I am not offensive Christian, you didn't read your own comment. I don't mind talking about something at all. You on a post about people being harmed say "It's not like Christians haven't done the same thing..."
I would be took back on any subject , of your lack of concern shown, based on your words.
@DrugInducedDuck@xanga - well, on a Christian blog the person will tend to talk about what is happening to Christians. Just like a Muslim blog has a Muslim point of view and a Hindu blog has a Hindu point of view.
Right now Christian's are the most persecuted religion in the world.

"In this time & place Christian Persecution is the most ignored."
? I don't understand in what context you are referring to. If you are referring to in the United States currently, I would disagree. Why would a person think that the U.S. ignores persecution of christianity? It's a topic i've heard about countless amounts of times growing up, in school and in church. While probably the smaller religious groups across the world would qualify most as the most ignored (simply due to their lack of size and world influence of that community) choosing among other major world religions seems to show major differences of interest by American citizens, simply due to there are much more christians in the U.S. than any other religion.
Some events most people in the U.S. don't here about, which would have a much greater chance of making the news or being announced in churches if the victims were christians:
Muslims killing Hindus
Hindus killing Muslims
I should make a much longer list to try and convey the bubble we can live in at times, but I'm already running short on time I can devote to things outside of what I should be fully devoting myself to at the moment (applications).
How often do you here about religious groups besides Christianity being persecuted? Not too much right? Well that's to be kind of expected seeing as if one was to compare the amount of christians with muslims, hindus, etc in the U.S. christians come out on top with a healthy advantage.
Now if you were speaking in the context of the entire world in general, that's a more interesting question which, while I would be still more inclined to disagree with you due to christianity still being the dominant religion world wide, I'd be much more reluctant to give a definant answer because I have not done any studies or research on world wide opinions and views on major world religions.

Christianity is the most persecuted religion on the planet. It is illegal or severely restricted in 51 different countries. Fundamentalist Muslim nations, fanatical Hindu countries and hardline Communist regimes are not shy about their hatred for Christianity.
Iran's parliament has passed a new law which makes it illegal for a Muslim to become a Christian, and that any Muslim that does become a Christian must be executed.
In many areas of India, Christians who try to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ are regularly attacked by Hindu extremists.
It has been estimated that more Christians were martyred in the 20th Century than in the previous 1,900 years combined.
There were more than 26 million documented cases of martyrdom in the 20th century alone.
More than 200 million Christians in over 60 nations face persecution each day, and it is estimated that over half of these are children.
It is estimated that between 150,000 and 165,000 Christians are martyred each year.

We americans, as a whole, like to also ignore stuff like genocide happening in Darfur and other horrible human rights violations that happen all over the world all the time. Sometimes it's just easier to close your eyes and not see all the pain and violence going on around....
"IT is not politically correct to say anything again[st] other religions"
It's not other religions, but people. And yes, it is perfectly fine to speak up against people who commit horrible acts (or governments, if governments are condoning persecution of certain groups of people based on race/religion).
@whataboutbahb@xanga - Actually, from what I've heard at school and such, a lot of people pay attention to genocides and such in the way of just talk and "OMG THERE' GENOCIDE HAPPENING," but almost all of the time, they don't care enough to DO anything about it. In the movie "Hotel Rwanda," the UN peacekeeper said that Americans would see the genocide on TV and say "That's too bad" and then go back to eating their dinners.
On Facebook, there are groups for supporting causes in Darfur etc., and tons of people join them, but beyond that, people rarely do for the cause.

"Iran's parliament has passed a new law which makes it illegal for a Muslim to become a Christian, and that any Muslim that does become a Christian must be executed."
I'm assuming, if this is actually a law, it is referring to apostates, which would affect a muslim switching from abandoning islamic beliefs for any other (christianity, hindu, atheism, etc).
"Christianity is the most persecuted religion on the planet."
Is is also the largest world religion.
"It has been estimated that more Christians were martyred in the 20th Century than in the previous 1,900 years combined."
There are around 2.1 billion christians today. Percentages would be more meaningful to show comparative levels of persecution rather then just overall numbers.
"In many areas of India, Christians who try to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ are regularly attacked by Hindu extremists."
Did you read the two links I provided earlier?
India has been plagued by religious violence- there are plenty of cases of muslims kill hindus, hindus kill muslims, and christians being killed by both.

I'm not sure why you seem to be under the impression that I don't think persecution of christians should be a concern. It should be-people being killed for their religious beliefs is a very horrible thing. What I claimed in my earlier comment was a response that I don't think that persecution of christianity is the most ignored religion in the U.S.. I would say, besides maybe persecution of Jews, persecution of christians is discussed more and concentrated on by americans more than any other religious persecution. I mean wouldn't you agree with that? I really don't see how someone could ardently disagree with that idea at all.
@DrugInducedDuck@xanga - Yea, you prick! Do you realize the sheer horror that gays, Jews, atheists, Buddhists, Hindus, and starving third-word ppl have inflicted on almost overwhelmingly benign and completely victimized Christians?
This is exactly why we need to defend our current system of government (read: Â separation of church and state) and our right to practice whatever religion we want to, otherwise we will end up like those countries. Â We need to defend the people we don't necessarily agree with. Â We need to defend those who lack religion as much as those who are devout because otherwise, those who hate everyone different than them will ruin the lives of everyone who disagrees.
@methodElevated@xanga - but on your page you say
"The world would probably be a far more peaceful place without the Judeo-Christian religions.
3.5. In many circumstances, it's perfectly acceptable to discriminate based on religion. Unlike things like race and height, religion is chosen. In particular, if your religion or beliefs infringe upon someone's rights or well-being, people have every right to discriminate against you."
@Kristenmomof3@xanga -Â
The first part: Â
Much of the violence caused in the world today (and for the past couple of millennia, for that matter) has been because of differences in opinions of all three of the Judeo-Christian religions and those that disagree with them. Â (That includes Judaism, Christianity and Islam.) Â This causes tension and violence between individuals and countries. Â The Crusades are a good example. Â The violence and persecution against early Christians in Rome is a good example. Â The terrorist bombings over the past several years is a good example. Â You get the idea (I hope).
The second part:
The operative part of that statement was that if your religion INFRINGES UPON THE RIGHTS OR WELL-BEING of someone else, it should be fine to discriminate against. Â This INCLUDES the infringement upon the rights/well-being of Christians in other countries by the government that won't allow the practice of Christianity.
Also: Â "In many circumstances." Â Not all. Â I was thinking more along the lines of employment, especially in scientific fields and education. Â If you are a Christian zealot and secondary science teacher, you shouldn't be allowed to teach if you refuse to teach evolution in the classroom. Â
I certainly am not advocating violence against Christians or anything like that.
Please stop reading what you want to read, and read what I'm actually saying.

Not trying to be an ass at all but I think you might mean the Abrahamic religions.
