  • Dear God, Are the Desires of My Heart Aligned With Yours?

    Dear God,

    Dear God,

    Are the desires of my heart aligned with yours? Are the things I want the things you want for me? This cry pierces the depths of my being, the core of my soul, the deepest, darkest corners of my heart.

    Where would I be without you? I am nothing and no one, so will you make me something? Will you open my heart to the things you desire of me? Will you teach me your ways and how to walk in them?

    Hear my cries Father, please, hear them from the depths of my heart. A heart that is hungry for you.

    For God to reveal all the desires that he wants for me.  All that he willed for me.  And provide me the strength and endurance to persevere through all hardships of this world.

    i had that exact prayer last night when i was driving home from a friends house. i try and make that my prayer daily. im graduating from college in may and i need direction with a career because i have no clue where im going. ive already fasted and am in constant prayer about my future. i pray his will be done and my desires are his so i wont miss a beat.

    To be strong enough to accomplish all that my Father has in store for me. That is my deepest prayer. And also, to align my heart with His, which is something I have been struggling a lot with lately.

    I pray for my parents friend who just got out of the hospital because of heart problems.

    I also pray for my friend Kaity because she is only 15 and has heart problems.

    I've also prayed for my dad because of all the hard work he has been putting in this week for over 100 other people.

    Oh jeez I just started crying.

    we don't need to go there... but there are alot of things... namely, "God keep me close" "I wanna be used by You"


    my foundational prayer for anything is just echoing Blaise Pascal's prayer of "Lord let me do great things as though they were little since I do them in Your power, and little things as though they were great since I do them in Your Name."


    there is one thing though I'm begging God to grant to me... and He hasn't said a yes or a no...

    Ahhh, this is the question I always ask.  Always, always I am asking about the future--whether I'm on the right path or if I need to re-align.  I always ask that His desires become My desires so that I'll know I'm doing the right thing.

    The prayer on my heart this evening is prayer for healing in my left shoulder blade. It's a lot better than it was last night so I'm thankful for that.


    Seeing how Thanksgiving is around the corner, my prayer is about thanks. My prayer is thanking God for the wonderful things I have in life, and things I should not take for granted that others might not have the fortune of having such as food, water, shelter, clothing, blankets, and heat. I'm thankful that I have a job, friends, family, and most importantly, Jesus in my heart.


    I'm also in prayer due to my finances. I'm praying for forgiveness, which I've already received for being irresponsible with spending in the past, and I'm praying that God will pull me through these troubled times. Some of my bills have gone up and it seems impossible to pay them, but thanks be to God since He's the one who provides. AMEN

    I pray to stay on the path He wants me to follow and not deviate to the things of the flesh. I also pray for clarity on the path before me and which way to go. The strength and determination to completely yield to Him is something I strugle with day to day. I want only what He has in store for me and to do his work.

    Iris, that is one beautiful prayer. I also have said that prayer so many times. It is so easy to get off of God's path with one little choice.


    I know He has something special for you.

    What a prayer! Each and every day we should hunger and thirst after His righteousness in all that we do, or even desire.


    It is so easy to live life after what we think God wants for us but when we truly desire a heart as His, our mindsets change and we learn to seek, not only Him but His Face!!


    My prayer for you is that as you seek his face He would reveal more to you, as who you are in Him, not only his daughter but his princess. I pray that He would guide your every breath, thought and step. He will because He knows the desires of our hearts. Remember to seek His face!!


    Try to keep me informed on what God will teach you through the process of your transformation. It is both hard and incredible.
