Hindu Christian Clashes, Bailout, Confession: Today's Prayer
- Economic Bailout Can Hurt You
The $700 billion dollar bailout for the financial industry has come to an agreement. In the next coming days, the Bush administration hopes to have this agreement voted through. This will affect american tax payers by raising their taxes to share the burden. Please pray for wisdom for our decision makers that this will not negatively impact people who are already struggling financially to make ends meet. - Hindu and Christian clashes continue
Clashes continue as more christian homes burn in India's east. Pray for peace in India, as the death toll rose to 20 people. Pray for the intolerance that has risen in the past 2 decades due to the revival of Hindu nationalism. - Confession
Please take this time and pray about something that has been holding you back recently. Pray that God may heal that part of your life and help you.
Is there something you always pray for when you pray?

Perhaps it's just me, but it seems that the phrase "Hindus vs. Christians" coupled with the photo would likely "rile up" some conservative Christians into going on a "All Hindus are of the devil" tirade. Though perhaps it's just because where I live I'm used to conservative Christians getting their knickers in a bunch and blatantly hating anyone who's not just like them.
Jesus, I plead your blood over my sins and the sins of this nation. G-d come and have your way with us. I ask L-rd in this "financial crisis" of our nation that you would defend the defenseless ones who will suffer the most from this "bail-out". L-rd I ask for your hand of protection over all families of all types that struggle now especially with debt. That you would supernaturally break in and give them a financial breakgthrough even when the nation is in crisis You alone are in control. G-d I ask that today you would give all families wisdom of what they need to right now whether it's bankruptcy, debt consolidation, selling assets and homes. Whatever it is L-rd that they and we all need to do to get ready for what's about to come into play. Jesus you hold all things in your being, you are all and in all. What is impossible with man is possible with you. I believe in you Father G-d for this because your Son Jesus came and said to believe you. I trust your Son, I trust you Abba. I trust you with everyone who is, might, and will suffer. Let there arise a groaning with in us to intercede your heart over this nation right now in Jesus Name.
L-rd I ask that you would have mercy on the hindu believers and that you would give strength and grace to the christians who suffer mercilessly under hatred and men's wrath. I ask that you would spread your bride, your church like wildfire through out the land. G-d I plead your Son's blood over that land, India. I ask Jesus that you would forgive them of their sins that you would break in suddenly and erup a great revival along their mighty river and throughout all the poor slums and the rich provinces. G-d strike down the wicked and evil principalites that are oppressing your people and the Gospel from being preached. Bring down the mighty stronghold Jesus. In your Name Jesus I ask that you would release your angels over India going to the North, South, East and West destroying the works of the devil! Let your name be known in India, let your Name be worshipped in India. Give your people strength to forgive their brethren who are lost without you. Raise up your standard! In Jesus powerful and mighty name, Amen.
@no_more_grace@xanga - Hi - thanks for the comment. I changed the title to be respectful of what you mentioned. hope this helps!
@revelife - Thanks for changing it
I think that something simply like that really does make a difference. I think that too often as Christians we think of things as "us vs. them," but I'm not quite sure that God wants us to think of it like that. I mean, before we were Christians, we were on the "dark side" as well, you know???
It's not right but don't sound as if Christians have never burned Hindu homes ... After all, they force conversions at the edge of a sword! Christianity is the embodiment of intolerance. This isn't a one-sided act ... Don't forget to take ownership for all the atrocities committed in the name of Jesus.
Thank you very much.
God bless you. Keep praying for you.
