Principles of Effective Intercession
by mr willowNow here's a rarity: A YouTube video that will make you stop and do some serious reflection about your prayer life. Perhaps I'm a bit biased, because the man being interviewed is my younger brother J. (You might see a few things that run in the family.) But he tackles such questions as:
Why pray since God is sovereign? How do I cultivate a life of prayer? How do I pray according to God's will? What role does silence play in intercession? How do I persevere in prayer?
If those questions are remotely interesting to you, or if you feel your prayer life just needs a pick-me-up, give these videos a look. You'll be glad you did.

you don't need youtube to watch it..just press play...
This was a really good video!! Gave me a lot of insight!
I really like the part about the importance of silence.
Thank you. I enjoyed it.
I loved these videos! While they lacked "flash" (aka: "fleshly appeal"), the message they contained was right on. My spirit was moved, as I heard the words J. spoke. I found myself at my PC shaking my head in agreement, saying, "Yes, and amen."
My favorite part was when J. spoke about a prayer that he wouldn't cease to utter...for his wife. I too had a prayer for a husband, one that I was often called "foolish" for. But, as J. said, I knew (that I knew) God heard me, and that while I had not seen an answer, I knew one was on its way. I "heard" that small voice tell me to hold on, and wait...that the work was in progress.
When I wanted to give up, sometimes questioning my own sanity, I too was reminded of the exact scripture J. referenced - about the woman who would not cease to plead her case. With that, I returned my own pleas to the Father for the man I would marry.
The end of the story was this: I married my first love, after 20 years of friendship, and some lost time without much contact. While I was waiting in what seemed to be God's silence, God was working in both of us, preparing us for one another.
God's timing is always perfect. The still small voice is the most reassuring one you'll hear. To all those praying, without ceasing and in God's will, hang on to Him. He'll never let you down!
