Google Image Search can result in the weirdest image sources!]Okay, so clearly we all picture God differently, particularly as kids. But what about his voice? Does anybody else hear God's voice as a deep booming voice?

First off, kudos to the picture of Steven Fry... he makes me laugh immensely.
Despite the featured comments, I'd be willing to say the majority of us picture the default images- a ripped-off zeus for G-d, and the rather effeminate, long haired, well-groomed, skinny Jesus, both of which were popularized in Renaissance art. On the same token, most people probably go to the default voice of James Earl Jones- maybe because it's deep and booming, maybe because he recorded the best bible on tape EVER, but that seems to be the standard.
Actually, the Bible alters G-d's voice depending on the occasion. Moses heard a still small voice, the baptism of Jesus yielded a loud one from heaven, John's vision of the risen Lord gave him a voice like the sound of many rushing waters. If you can find a way to combine those, go right ahead. Personally, I think I hear my own voice more often than not, because most of G-d's "spoken" answers to me happen in the realm of my thoughts, though those do make up a very small minority of the sum total of His responses.
Well, I guess whatever you really think. God never limited his creations to what he wants them to think. Some people feel comfortable that maybe God's a woman, some thing God's a man. It's just really depends on the person.
Not being a Christian, I just don't think of him as neither. But watching "Dogma", God appealed to me as a woman because of Alanis Morsiette (spelling?). But in cartoons like the Simpsons, God has a very deep thundering voice of a man.

I have to admit, I pretty much pictured God as looking like King Triton from "The Little Mermaid," minus the fishy tail of course. As for Jesus, you should check out this article:

Jesus was said as been a completely average looking man (see Isa. 53:2) - Olive skin, broad face and nose, bushy black hair, all on a frame that stood approximately 5'1" and weighing in at 110 lbs.

Insofar as I have a picture at all, it probably has Michaelangelo's God in "Creation of Adam" lurking somewhere in back of it.
God's voice normally sounds like my voice in a sense. and sometimes it's like a masculine whisper.
@CairuLunari@xanga - interesting that they'd reference 1 Corinthians 11 in determining the length of Jesus' hair. Especially considering the source is the same Paul who cut his hair because of a vow in Acts 18:18. I don't think long hair was a disgrace in the sense that they make it out to be- G-d's most holy and set apart people weren't allowed to cut their hair (Nazarites, Samson...) and it was one of the factors that set them apart.Does this make it improper to have long hair, or is it that by commanding those who wish to take a vow to grow their hair out, G-d is forcing man to accept his humble position, knowing full well that there are those who would insult him for appearing as a woman?
Jesus was from Nazareth, which seems to have been settled by Nazirites. Some scholars suggest that long hair was quite in vogue for the Nazarene population, and that this fashion was a part of the obvious contempt other jews had for them (John 1:46).
I do like that they've tried to create a historically accurate template, though. No more European Jesus!
I know that God the Father is a spirit and not physical the way we are, so I picture Him as what I am thinking of Him as at the moment.
Right now in my relationship with Him, that is usually a father, so I picture Him as a tall, strong man, not too old, who has a lap I can crawl into. I don't worry much about how He specifically looks, but I'm more of a hearer and toucher than a visual person.
I always imagine God's voice like how my dad would speak to me. Not a thundering voice, not a whisper, but a normal voice.
Oh yeah... I always feel his hugs.

I have always hated white Jesuses (is that the plural of Jesus??). I grew up overseas, and my view of Jesus when I was a child was a middle-aged Filipino.
During my parent's first home assignment back in the US (my parents are missionaries) I was five. In a Sunday School class at one of my parent's supporting churches, we were asked to draw a picture of Jesus. I drew him with dark skin and black hair. All of the other children (who had probably grown up in that area alone) drew a white Jesus with blue eyes and fluffy brown hair. The Sunday School leader chastised me for drawing a "wrong" Jesus. Jeeze.
I still continue to see Jesus as looking Filipino. I can't help it. As far as god goes, whenever I would talk to god I would always talk (or yell) at a mirror.
I'm an atheist now and have been for a long time, but I find it strange that whenever I wanted to yell at god, I would be yelling at myself. Deep-rooted issues much? XD
I think of god's voice much like I imagine the voice of all the people (or beings) I read about in books--variations of my own voice.
[I know I'm replying a bit late to the previous post, but here I go anyway!]
When I pray, I don't actually visualize God. It's always a feeling; a feeling that only comes when I talk to Him that I've taken as His presence and His way of letting me know that He's definitely here and listening [though, of course, He always is!] When He speaks, well... I don't physically hear Him, either. Again, it's more of the feeling, and His words come as if they're my thoughts but I know that I haven't thought of those things or wouldn't put them and or interpret in that way.
