Question of the Day: Where is your favorite place to have quiet time with God and when?
We polled a couple of the crew's favorite places and times of day to do their QTs (quiet time with God) and got the following answers:
miss plumeria: bedroom at night before bed
mr. oak: bedroom in the morning after the mrs. leaves for work
miss marigold: dorm room in the morning before going to class
What about you? Where and when do you like to do your QT?
mrs. dandelion: living room in the morning, after being awake for at least an hour

Morning before anybody wakes up and in my living room that nobody uses.
In bed, morning or night.
I haven't been spending as much time, but whenever I feel the need to talk to someone, I'll address Him. I like to take a walk out in my yard (we have like 7 acres with tons of trees, so it's kind of like getting in nature). I pray in my car whenever I need Him. I thank Him all the time, even if it's just in my head. He is always with me. When I was on a high way, skidded on ice, I screamed out, "God, please let me be alright!"
Thank you for posting this though, it made me realize I need to spend more time with Him.
On the couch or in bed or both! Usually sometime between dinner and bedtime. the morning is hard for me to focus usually!
In the morning
Lying on my bed, before I go off to dreamland.
In the shower in the mornings.
St. Marco's Square in Venice...at night.
The park, in the wee hours of the morning. When I feel alone, and immersed in the world, and nature.
definitely on the can. Â among other places, a nearby pond, my bed at night, and other secluded natural areas.
late morning, afternoon, evening
in my apartment or car
And sometimes I have had moments with God in my classes.
In my kitchen in the morning, before everyone else gets up....or when I'm outside
in my bed, late at night when everyone else is sleeping
Around ten or so at night before heading off to bed, after I have brushed my teeth, in the chapel kneeling before the Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacle. It is my favorite time of the day.
Early in the morning after husband leaves for work and before my boys wake.
The back deck facing 12 acres of woodland, all creation is praising God and it surrounds me completely. A cup of coffee, my study bible and whatever group study book we are into. Currently it is about women and our friendships.....
David's grand(mother's ) house;
in the mountains of west Virginia
in my bedroom usually at night. i like to read the bible online and then pray.
I don't have quiet times. I read a chapter each a.m. in "the reading room" and I do my best to remember He's with me all day so that I stay in conversation with Him, but I often forget. Then again, I'm forgetting a lot of things these days. However, I have every confidence once the grieving is over the memory will return, along with a closer walk with my Maker and the Lover of Our Souls.
Sounds simple - but right when I wake up and I can lay in silence amidst all of his glory. The birds... my alarm... the fact that I can hear and am able to share that small moment with him. Humbling and empowering at the same time. Not doing anything else, the focus is totally on Him...
I like it at night in my bedroom (: before I go to sleep because, it's much nicer and you can tell God all about your day and what happened. It's just nicer.
Every sight, every sound, every thought, every breath.
Bedroom at night before bed! Every night! :)
I'm not very good at daily QTs, but I'm more likely to do them when I am away from home. Especially when I am camping though :-p I like to journal so anytime I journaly I QT
by the pool in the mornings and after work or when i feel like it :)
