• Meet Miss Marigold

  Occupation: College student
  About Me: I'm originally from the Philippines, but I grew up in Taiwan, where I went to a Evangelical Christian school for international students while growing up in a Roman Catholic family. I now attend what one publication called "The Hottest Catholic School" and another reported as "New York's City's No. 1 Party School." What can I say, there's always a really long line at the confession booth (I'm at the front - kidding.)
  
  I've been a Christian nearly my whole life, but while in high school, I resented the constant pressure to be holy and accountable. Once in college, I dove into totally secular circles. Try as I might, I couldn't find Christian friends or a fellowship that felt right. For 18 years, other people saturated my life with God; now I actually want to pursue Him on my own. The last two years were so spiritually challenging that I'm excited to see what exactly God is preparing me for!

  I'm your textbook brooding English major, but try as I might, I can't get through The Bell Jar. I've been trying for nearly a year and I'm only 1/3 of the way through. Any and all tips for helping me finish it are welcome.
  
  Random things I like: Some would deem it unfortunate, but Hall & Oates is on my iTunes top 25 playlist. I snack on congealed pizza with grapes (to cancel out the oil, if that makes any sense.)

  
  I gave up my dream of becoming a princess once I realized that crowns weigh about 10 lbs....
