  • blizzard

often times, we think that God's thoughts comes at us like individual snowflakes, one-by-one, and only every so often. and if we miss that snowflake, if we miss that thought, then it's passed us by and we missed our chance. better luck next time, right?

but that is almost never the case. God's thoughts toward us and to us are more like a snowstorm. a blizzard, if you will! there are thoughts, expressions of love, visions, creative ideas, and snowflakes everywhere! all we have to do is be alert and concentrate on catching as many as we can!

it's like when Peter let down the nets in Luke 5. he ends up catching so much fish that the nets begin to break. so it is with God's thoughts. we just have to make sure that we have good-sized nets that are ready to catch, our eyes and ears attentive to however God wishes to speak to us. because there are small snowflakes as well as big ones, loud shouts as well as soft whispers. oh, and the shape and form of these flakes can vary as well!

the more sensitive we are to God's voice, the more we benefit.
