Expectations
We often get disappointed in other people because we have a certain level of expectations. Whether it's a spouse, friend, parent, co-worker, or whoever, we're bound to get disppointed from someone at least once in our lives. It sucks. Sometimes I want to be understanding and offer grace, but I can't. I wished we lived in a world where everything is perfect and everyone was on the same page. The older I get, the more I realize that God is the only one that won't disappoint us. Yes, there are times where we feel that He is ignoring us or He is so distant and far away that we feel hopeless, but He always comes through. He is the Only one who will meet our expectations and go far beyond what we can imagine.

This all goes back to your post two times ago......"Handy Tool 1"
: )
As much as I try not to, I always set expectations bigger for people than I should. Then I get so upset when they don't meet my expectations. I guess I figure, I would do this for someone, shouldn't they do it for me? Ah, I'm learning...God is teaching me. :)
